Tat’s my favorite…

I’m going to post pics here of my tattoos, along with an explanation for them.  It’s a work in progress.

My first tattoo is on my left ankle.  Her name is Sylph, and she really didn’t want her picture taken.  She’s fairly shy, and so seems to be permanently out of focus for the camera, no matter where I take the picture from!  This is as close as she’d let me get with that infernal technology!

My next tattoo is on the inside of my right wrist, and is a triple moon, with the yin-yang symbol, and the elemental colors added.  Balance is very important in my life, so I decided that I’d balance yin and yang, and the colors of the elements all together.  This one had the colors redone at the same time I got my ivy tattoo that circles my wrist.

Ok, so this is the biggest one, on the back of my right hand.

The flowers represent my children ~ their birth flowers in their birthstone colors, and their initials done in the vinework.

This tattoo connects at the bottom (on my wrist) to the third tattoo I got done, a vine of ivy around my wrist.

As I said, these are a work in progress.  I am planning more someday, hopefully soon, and if and when, I’ll post pics of them as well.

Oh, gorgeous. Hope you don’t mind, but I’m going to send this as a link to a friend. She has beautiful tattoos too :-)

  4. Do you make sure your tatts are covered in the sun? We are just starting to get sun here and as people strip off I’m seeing some really bad sun-damaged tatts. Yours are so lovely and bright. I just wondered what you do to care for them.

    • LOL, Most of my skin is lily-white… blinding, actually. I’m not a sun-worshipper, and regularly get teased at work because of my “chicken-legs”. But, I just tell them… My skin will still be baby-butt soft when I’m 80, thanks.

I use an unscented lotion a lot, because the office is so dry (tons of paper sucking up moisture). Otherwise, I do use sunscreen most religiously. I’ve never really been a tanner, I burn a nice lobster-red in no time!

  5. they’re all so bright and alive!
