Chocolate-Dipped Potato Chips

1 lb. White almond bark

1- 1/4 cups semi-sweet choc. chips.

2 or 3 oz. Unsweetened melted bakers chocolate

*Put all in a bowl and microwave.  Start at 1 & 1/2 minutes on high, stir, and if still not melted completely, heat for another 30 seconds to 1 minute.

*Stir until smooth.

*Divide in bowls and add any ingredients you like.

*Peanuts, nuts, sunflower seeds, fruit, pretzels, potato chips.

*Shake off excess chocolate and lay on wax paper for larger items like chips or fruit. (We actually laid the potato chips on a cookie rack to cool and harden)  Drop by spoonfuls on wax paper for smaller items like seeds.

YoungerDaughter and I made these chocolate-dipped potato chips last night.  We’ve also in the past used this for fruit (strawberries) and for pretzels.  You can use the chocolate almond bark, if you want, but it gets really, really chocolatey.  This recipe ends up tasting like milk chocolate… om nomnomnom.

Also, if you’re going to do this with potato chips?  Make sure you get the heavy duty wavy chips.  Flat chips don’t hold up, they crumble under the weight of the chocolate!  I would imagine you could do this with bbq chips, or jalapeno chips, too, for a little more “bite” to your treat.

LOL, I know, it’s odd that I would ever post a recipe… but hey, it’s chocolate.

*shrug* What could I do?

    • Pssshhhhh, Nope! Don’t think so. 😉
Paint everything cream. It goes with any decor. There you go.
(Yes, that means the cats, too. Then they blend in with the furniture)

And sorry if our conversation was cut short? I’m still not sure. My FB was being dumb.

    • S’alright, I thought it was on my end, dumb FB. LOL, I was having trouble with it all day. No worries!
And yeah, I brought the chips to work this morning – it’s 11:00, I’m on break, and there’s maybe 5 left (of which I had 1, thanks!) 😉
      omnomnomnomnom..crunch, mmmmm…..
